Corporate services provider

A firm that designs, establishes, and administers a yacht’s ownership structure, and coordinates the professional advisers around it across the life of the asset.

Definition

A corporate services provider maintains the ownership vehicle, meets statutory and regulatory obligations, and coordinates the banks, flag administrations, insurers, lawyers, and tax advisers around the yacht, typically becoming the central point through which those relationships are managed. It helps separate the owner’s personal assets from the yacht, providing legal protection should liabilities arise, and a degree of privacy consistent with transparency and information-sharing obligations. Fees are charged on a fixed annual basis or by time spent. A provider should work alongside independent legal and tax advisers, not replace them.
