Yacht Engaged in Trade
A flag-state regime allowing a privately registered yacht to undertake commercial charter activity for a limited period, typically 84 days per year, in defined geographies.
YET frameworks exist under Cayman Islands, Marshall Islands, Isle of Man, and Bahamas registries, allowing private yachts to undertake limited commercial charter without converting to a fully commercial registration. The standard allowance is 84 days per calendar year, restricted to specified jurisdictions (typically France, Monaco, with some flags adding Croatia, Greece, or Italy). YET requires conversion to a Yacht Code Chapter II compliance standard for the duration of charter operation.
